AI Models Behind AI Halloween Costume

The image model

Costume photos are made with Nano Banana 2 (Gemini 3.1 Flash Image), an image editing model from Google. It takes your photo and an instruction, and returns an edited photo.

We may switch to another model of the same kind if it keeps faces better or costs less. This page will say so when that happens.

Who runs it

The model runs on fal.ai, a company that hosts AI models. Your photo is sent to fal.ai only to make your costume photo.

What we add

  • 40 costume descriptions written and checked by us.
  • An instruction that keeps your face, skin tone, expression and makeup unless you switch Keep my makeup off.
  • Face words removed from the costume when makeup is kept, so the model is not told two different things.
  • A fixed rule to keep your pose, framing and lighting.

Your photo

Uploaded photos are deleted after 7 days. We do not use your photos to train AI models. Read the privacy policy for details.
